Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This introductory seminar is supposed to encourage the participants in a ``hands on'' fashion to try their own modelling and simulations, for selected small projects. They will receive support in doing this, especially for the programming work that should ideally be performed with some of the standard mathematical software packages, preferrably using MATLAB. Participants are encourage to suggest their own problems, which may/should come from real life and where no good solution has to be known at the beginning.
Assessment and permitted materials
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
enable participants to do indpendent work and develop their own ideas
Examination topics
presentation of example cases, MATLAB demonstrations, work in small group, during the seminar as well as at home
Reading list
will be provided via the internet home-page of the course
(accessible via www.nuhag.eu >> students), individually for the different research groups. A list of topics will be prepared during the first weeks of the course, after interaction with HGFei
