Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this course we continue laying down the algebraic foundations that will be needed for further studies in pure and applied mathematics. The topics include: a number of basic results from field theory, the theory of modules and the theory of algebras over fields. It is recommended to attend the supplementary course "Selected topics in
number theory" where questions in number theory and algebra will be studied with the methods acquired in this course.
