Aims, contents and method of the course
Das Konzept der "Philosophischen Praxis" wurde 1981/82 vom deutschen Philosophen Gerd Achenbach geprägt, als er das "Institut für philosophische Praxis" und die "Gesellschaft für philosophische Praxis" in Bergisch Gladbach bei Köln gegründet hat. Dabei hat er angefangen - in bewusster Distanzierung von der akademischen Philosophie einerseits und von den Psychotherapien andererseits -, als ausgebildeter Philosoph eine philosophische Lebensberatung Menschen anzubieten, die "Sorgen oder Probleme quälen", mit ihrem Leben "nicht zurechtkommen" oder meinen, sie seien irgendwie "steckengeblieben", die "von Fragen bedrängt werden, die sie weder lösen noch loswerden" (Achenbach 2010 [1999]).
