Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The seminar will give an insight into ongoing research topics in the field of atomic and subatomic physics. 5 external speaker will present their research, the program is available at https://indico.smi.oeaw.ac.at/category/13/
Literature/publications to prepare for the presented topic will be available for the students.
Each student perpares a short presentation to practice giving a talk in front of an audience.

Assessment and permitted materials

Questions and discussion at the end of the student's presentation on the presented topic. Presence at the talks of external speakers and students is compulsary.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Attendance of all talks, one written summary on the topic of an external speaker, one own presentation. The quality of the summary and presentation will contribute in equal parts to the marking.

Examination topics

The topic presented in your student talk (questions and discussion at the end of the student's presentation). No separate exam.
