Aims, contents and method of the course

Basic principles of superconductivity, metallic, novel unconventional, and carbon-based superconductors, electric, magnetic, and thermal properties of superconductors, type-I and II superconductivity, flux quantisation, Josephson effects, technical applications of superconductors, current research topics

Assessment and permitted materials

Oral examination.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Basic knowledge of superconductivity, various superconducting materials and introduction into current research topics in superconductivity.

Examination topics

Lecture with visualization and media support. Handouts will be distributed via the eLearning system.
