Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Exercises relevant to modern solid state physics, such as electronic structure, transport properties, solid state quantum phenomena, superconductivity, magnetism, mechanical properties of solids, as well as non-crystalline solids and bio- and hybrid materials. Modern experimental methods in solid state physics with particular reference to recent results of current research are discussed.

Assessment and permitted materials

Success in solving the exercises (minimum 50% of the problems have to be solved).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Acquisition of knowledge of the structure and properties of solids with special consideration of problems in current research.

Examination topics

Solving exercises in solid state physics.
