Aims, contents and method of the course

Fourier series and Fourier integrals, elementary theory of distributions, method of Green functions, linear partial differential equations (Laplace-, waves, diffusion equation), special functions, orthogonale polynomes, linear operators in Hilbert space, basic concepts of probability calculus (random variables, central limit theorem).
Depending on what was covered in M1 also some elements of complex analysis will be discussed.
