Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This seminar contains lectures on current research projects. It is held by Bachelor-, Master- and PhD students including members of the research group "Physics of Nanostructured Materials", and guest scientists. The subjects of lectures will be defined at the first meeting; the lecture schedule will be permanently updated and is accessible via the online VVZ.

Assessment and permitted materials

Those students which have held a lecture successfully will obtain a positive certificate. Otherwise an oral exam on selected lectures held within the seminar has to be achieved. The selection is done in agreement with the examiner.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The students will learn to design their work results as lectures and to communicate them properly. In discussions which immediately follow the lectures, the supervisors will critically question the work results and give recommendations for futural investigations. Invited lectures of international researchers are to confront the students with the state-of-the-art of international research.

Examination topics

Lectures will be prepared with PC/Power Point and reflected by a beamer.
