Aims, contents and method of the course
Ordinary differential equations, Fourier Series, Fourier Transform, Applications to partial differential equations, complex analysis.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Acquiring basic skills in mathematical methods of physics.
The evaluation is based on the results of two written tests and the performance in the
classes. The maximal number of points is 60. Each test has a maximal number of 20 points,
the "Kreuzerl" give a maximal number of 10 points and the blackboard presentation gives another maximal 10 points. In case a participant ticks an exercise without having solved it, 5 points are removed.
Active participation has a positive influence on the mark.
To pass the exercises it is requires that the sum of both written exams is at least 20 points and
to total number of points is at least 30.
