Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
String Theory achieves unification of all the known forces of nature in one quantum theory by replacing point particles by one-dimensional extended objects called strings. Phenomena like supersymmetry and extra dimensions are required to consistently describe the theory. This lecture course gives an introduction to the basic concepts of string theory.
