Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to the theory of groups and of group representations along with physical applications. Talks are given by the participants.

Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment is based on a presentation and a written summary.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Each participant gives a presentation about an assigned topic and submits a written summary. The presentation and the written summary are marked, the course is only passed if both grades are positive (at least 4). The total mark is the average of these two grades; if the average is inbetween two marks, the mark of the presentation dominates.

Examination topics

Assigned topics in group theory
