Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this course a survey of historical Gender-Science-Studies dealing with women scientists in physics and chemistry will be presented.

Assessment and permitted materials

Active participation, presentation of a seminar paper.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The students will discuss different studies, which deal with physics from the perspectives of feminist science studies. This new approach will lead to new insights concerning the gender dimension of physics.

Examination topics

After a short introduction by the lecturer the students will prepare studies for presentation and collective discussion.
