Aims, contents and method of the course
This lecture course showcases the research pursued at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Vienna. The faculty members will provide an introduction into the scientific background, the research questions and methods of the field, as well as into recent results of their research groups. The language of communication is English and/or German.
Assessment and permitted materials
Attendance, plus active participation in asking questions.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Grade 1: highly regular participation (at most one missed meeting)
Grade 2: regular participation (at most two missed meetings)
Grade 3: adequate participation (at most three missed meetings), contribution to team work
Grade 4: minimal participation (at most four missed sessions)Actively asking questions will raise the grade by 1.
