Aims, contents and method of the course

The purpose of the exercises is to go over crucial derivations related to the main topics of the course, and to provide practical examples of calculations involved in spectroscopy and microscopy.

Assessment and permitted materials

The exercises for each session will be distributed one week in advance, and the students are expected to solve them independently. At the start of the session, each student marks how many exercises they have solved, and one person is selected to provide the solution on blackboard.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Good attendance of the exercise sessions (>75%), and at least half (>50%) of exercises marked as solved.

Examination topics

No separate exam.
