Aims, contents and method of the course
Real gas and liquids, exactly solvable models, phase transitions and symmetry breaking, critical phenomena and renormalization group, cluster and high temperature expansions, stochastic processes, transport phenomena, non-equilibrium thermodynamics.
Assessment and permitted materials
Oral exams
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Deepening of the knowledge of statistical Physics, learning of the principles of symmetry breaking and of the mechanisms to obtain phase transitions. Understanding modern aspects of non-equilibrium thermodynamics.
