Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to supersymmetric theories of gravitation, their geometric structures and symmetries.

Contents: Global and local supersymmetry; spinors on curved manifolds, minimal and extended supersymmetry, supersymmetry algebra, aspects of quantization, supergravity in different dimensions and Kaluza-Klein reduction, hidden symmetries and exceptional geometry.

Prerequisites: General relativity is recommended, but not required.

Assessment and permitted materials

The evaluation will be based on one exercise sheet to be handed in and a written exam at the end of the course.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

For successful completion of the course, 50% of the total points of the two evaluation are required.
