Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Quantum field theory, basics of graph theory, Feynman graphs, functional integral formalism, representations, perturbative series, Borel summability, BPHZ theorem, renormalization group, multi-scale analysis, effective series.

Assessment and permitted materials

Verbal exam

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The aim is to provide students with a mathematically rigorous introduction to various aspects of renormalization.

Examination topics

We will use the functional formalism and some standard graph theory. The classification of the divergences will be achieved via the powerful multi-scale analysis.
