Aims, contents and method of the course

Discussing theoretical issues on learning places out of school and educational research focusing on this topic. Getting to know such locations appropriate for excursions in the surroundings of Vienna.
Students have to plan, organise and evaluate an excursion

Assessment and permitted materials

Course with immanent character, written reports and lesson plans, feedback

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Discussing research based guidelines for fieldtrips and applying them to the organisation and evaluation of actual fieldtrips in the surroundings of Vienna.

Examination topics

Organisation, Evaluation of an excursion and active participation in other students' excursions, reflection and feedback
