Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Seminar to complement the lab courses "Solid state physics: Research and Applications" and "Solid state physics: Materials and Methods".The seminar should be taken together with the lab course in the same semester (if you are only on the waiting list for the lab course, do not yet sign up for the seminar)
Assessment and permitted materials
Grades will depend on the presentation, understanding of the underlying physical concepts and on the discussions after the presentation. Activity in discussions after presentations by others will also influence the grade.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The presentations should give an insight to the basic physical principles behind the respective research methods and to the materials properties that can be assessed by the method.
Examination topics
Reading list
Literature will be provided during the course.
