Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Written module examination STEOP 1
- Multiple choice exam in German language
- Exam duration 2 h for a total of 32 questions with 1 point each
- 2 examination parts with weighting according to ECTS ratio
- 20 points VO examination part (focus on knowledge and understanding)
- 12 points PUE exam part (focus on calculation tasks)
- PUE STEOP 1 credits earned during the semester (PUE bonus) possible
- the higher number of points from the PUE bonus and the written PUE examination part counts for the assessment
- the PUE bonus earned in the PUE STEOP 1 remains creditable for all examinations taken until the start of the following VO-PUE cycle (start of the following winter semester)Resources
- Handwritten notes (formulary)
- individually created independently with any content
- maximum size one DIN A5 page (15 cm x 21 cm) written on one side
- no machine copies, printouts etc.
- Ballpoint pen in the colors blue or black
- Scrap paper will be provided and not graded
- Water bottle, dextrose, fruit and similar items
- No other permitted aids (in particular no calculator, laptop, cell phone, smartwatch or similar)
- In special cases, please ask in advance

Minimum requirements for a positive completion of the STEOP 1 module
- at least 16 points in the entire written multiple choice examination (VO examination part plus PUE examination part) before taking into account a valid PUE bonus
or
- at least 10 points in the VO examination part of the written multiple choice examination and a valid PUE bonus of at least 6 pointsGrading scale (points)
28 points or more very good (1)
24 points or more good (2)
20 points or more satisfactory (3)
16 points or more sufficient (4)
