Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The central goal of this course is to deepen the understanding of the concepts and material of the VO Advanced Quantum Mechanics via exercises.
Assessment and permitted materials
The course will be assessed via two take-home exercises (one halfway through the semester and one towards the end of the semester). The students can work on the take-home problems for 2 weeks, after which each student has to hand in their solution. Each problem will be graded on 10 points.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Successful passing of the course requires at least 10 of the total of 20 points that can be earned on the take-home problems.The marks are distributed as follows:
Strictly less than 10 points: mark 5
More than 10 and strictly less than 12,5 points: mark 4
More than 12,5 and strictly less than 15 points: mark 3
More than 15 and strictly less than 17,5 points: mark 2
More than 17,5 points: mark 1
Strictly less than 10 points: mark 5
More than 10 and strictly less than 12,5 points: mark 4
More than 12,5 and strictly less than 15 points: mark 3
More than 15 and strictly less than 17,5 points: mark 2
More than 17,5 points: mark 1
Examination topics
The required material for the take-home exercises will be the material learned in the VO Advanced Quantum Mechanics, as well as the exercises treated in the PUE Advanced Quantum Mechanics.
