Aims, contents and method of the course

A successful participation in the seminar "260084 Introduction to solid state physics lab courses" (during the same semester) is expected as a prerequisite.

Course Group 1:
Course Group 2: Mechanical Properties and Structures of Metals/Alloys and Polymers (8 half-day experiments + corresponding background discussions)
There is the intention to perform the experiments in combination with 270263 SE+UE Modern methods for materials characterization.

Assessment and permitted materials

Course Group 1, Course Group 2 and Course Group 3: The judging of students is derived from the activity in preceding discussion on the experiment, the engagement during the experiments, the quality of the protocols, and from the result of final oral test.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Course Group 1: Knowledge on Solid state physics
Course Group 2: Lab Courses Physics I and II, Basic knowledge on Solid State Physics and Materials Physics desirable
Course Group 3: Knowledge on Solid state physics
