Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This lecture provides an introduction to the physics of molecular nanostructures.
We will discuss physical properties of various molecular nanostructures, such as magnetic properties of spin clusters and one-dimensional spin chains, and electronic properties of graphene and carbon nanotubes.
The lecture also covers experimental methods currently used to study molecular nanostructures.

Assessment and permitted materials

The oral final examination is scheduled individually at the end of the semester.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The oral examination will focus on assessing the students' conceptual understanding of the physics discussed.

Examination topics

The course material in its entirety will be included.

Reading list

Literature will be provided in class.
