Aims, contents and method of the course

Discussing the problem of recognition for women in physics - in the past an nowadays. Learning about data documenting the origin of gender inequities and possibilities for teaching for equity in physics.

Assessment and permitted materials

Course with immanent character

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Awareness of the origin of gender inequities in physics education and the personal involvement in the problem.

Examination topics

Starting with studies of Lise Meitner's life the working conditions of women in physics should be examined. Based on videos of physics lessons the production of gender equities are discussed.
