Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Aims: Development of the mathematical apparatus of General Relativity and its application to phenomena in astrophysics and cosmology.

The lecture will cover elements of the theory of gravitational radiation and of the evolutionary approach to general relativity.

There will be no exercice class but part of the time will have an exercice-session character where students will be invited to solve problems or contribute presentations.

Assessment and permitted materials

Half of the note will be a written test if the sanitary situation allows, oral test online otherwise. In both cases students will be asked to present topics from a list of questions known in advance. The remaining half will be based on the active participation in the course.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Previous attendance of the course `General Theory of Relativity and Cosmology' (former `Relativity and Cosmology II' or Rela II) is strongly encouraged.

Examination topics

A set of test questions will be made available to the students in due time.
