Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Exercises on the topics in elementary particle physics covered in the lecture notes. Regular updates and Forum on the Moodle page of the course.

Assessment and permitted materials

Print out the weekly work sheet and work out the problems. If you believe that you could thoroughly present the calculations and argumentations on the blackboard during the exercise class mark the problem as solved in the mark sheet handed out each week at the beginning of each exercise class. During class the instructor will pick students who marked an exercise to present the calculations at the blackboard in front of the class. To be awarded the exercise (PUE) certificate you have to (i) have marked at least 50 percent of the exercises and (ii) at least make two or three blackboard presentations, depending on the number of students in the class.
E-learning: solutions to the homework sheets have to be sent via email to the instructor, who is going to mark the solved problems.

Examination topics

All exercises contained in the homework sheets.
