Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The PUE serves to deepen the understanding of the lectures. Students will be provided with weekly exercise sheets which which the student should works out and which will be discussed in the PUE. Two of these exercise shees will also serve as take-home exams and will be graded for the assessment for the PUE.
Assessment and permitted materials
The exercises (PUE) are a course with continuous assessment (pi LV).
The PUE serves as preparation for the module exam. Registration for the PUE is not mandatory, but strongly recommended.Note: With the registration for the PUE the participation is mandatory and will be graded. Cancellation of this course is possible until Mo 17.03.2025 23:59. All students registered after this deadline will be graded according to the assessment criteria of the PUE.The assessment of the PUE is based on two take-home problem sheets that need to be handed in for grading. Additional bonus points can be collected by presenting solutions during the exercise classes and by active participation. The grade of the PUE is NOT included in the grade of the module exam.
The proof of performance required for the entire module (VO + PUE) is obtained by completing the module exam, see page of lecture.Students who present exercise problems in class can earn bonus points and can improve their grade for the PUE.
