Aims, contents and method of the course

Diffusion in thin films and in the bulk, structure kinetics and dynamics of materials, e.g. by temperature, load or in-situ during processing. Modern materials characterization techniques: X-ray scattering, synchrotron radiation, scanning electron microscopy, high temperature properties.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Knowledge about the structure, kinetics and dynamics of modern materials, in particular the knowledge of different approaches, available within the group Dynamics of Condensed Systems, to develop and characterize new materials.
