Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Properties and realization of tunable laser light; associated atomic, molecular and quantum physics, spectroscopic and optical instruments; (photonic tools like non-linear optics, electro- and acustooptical elements), typical applications (optical cooling, analytics, etc.).
Assessment and permitted materials
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Based on atomic, molecular, and quantum physics phenomena, understanding small-bandwidth tunable and pulsed laser sources and tools of laser spectrometry; further understanding of necessary optical instruments, nonlinear optics, magneto-, electro- and optoacustical-elements; comprehension of important examples of applications of these techniques.
Examination topics
Lecture including demonstrations and problem-solving examples.
