Problems and exercises supplementing the lecture Introduction to Physics III, WS 2017
Assessment and permitted materials
You prepare the solutions for as many exercises as you can and tick-mark them on a list during on the Moodle. The number of crosses you make, determines the grade
50% of all exercises have to be tick-marked, to get a positive grade (4 or better). The tutor will occasionally check the handed-in solutions. The grading scale is linear (More crosses → better grade)
This part influences your final grade by 1/3.Results are discussed in small groups. Tutors ask students to prepare a solution for a blackboard presentation one week in advance.
Blackboard presentations and work during the exercise groups are generally not graded.Tests (each 11.00 -12.30 h)
1) 20.11.2017,
2) 13.12.2017
3) 24.1. 2018Grade:
2/3: Average of the 2 best out of three exercise tests (2/3)
1/3: Quality of your handed-in solutions (1/3)Your presence in the exercise classes is expected and obligatory. You are allowed to skip 2 sessions without reason. All else will lead to a negative grade (fail)
unless there is a credible and reasonable excuse.
