Aims, contents and method of the course
Introduction into experimental particles physics, foundations of experimental particle physics, particle accelerators, passage of radiation through matter, particle detectors.
Assessment and permitted materials
Oral examination
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Introduction into the basics of the standard model of particle physics, knowledge of the basic tools of particle physics: accelerators and detectors.
Examination topics
Standard lecture using black board and occasionally presentations from computer.
