Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Aim: Filling the gap between the introductory and the advanced courses on theoretical particle physics. Excellent knowledge of theoretical mechnics, electrodynamics (manifestly covariant form), quantum mechanics and the mathematical methods of theoretical physics are mandatory.Contents: Symmetries in classical mechanics and field theory, Noether theorem, Lie groups and Lie algebras, representation theory of rotation- , Lorentz- and Poincare- group.Method: Ex cathedra teaching.
Assessment and permitted materials
Written exam. No means of aid permitted.
