Aims, contents and method of the course
Students prepare, teach and evaluate a project day for a school (upper secondary ) in cooperation with the research group nanostructured materials. The lessons are prepared upon personal experience with the scientists, their questions, their methodes and their everyday life.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Development of an instructional design for a project day on an interdisciplinary topic.
Becoming acquainted with the practical work of scientists doing research in the field of nanostructured materials.
Reflection of the personal view of physics as a scientific culture.
Testing the project in practice together with in-service teachers in an upper secondary classes.
Development of assessment instruments.

Examination topics
Students will do a great part oft he work on their own. They are coached by the teacher's trainer as well as by the scientists who give them support regarding to contents, pedagogy as well as instruction. Moreover the students have the opportunity to watch scientists in their everyday work. Communication is partly done on an e-learning platform.
