Aims, contents and method of the course

Literature; Task of material physics; Typical materials (metals, ceramics, polymers, composites); Structure of materials (state of material, ideal crystals, real crystals, crystal defects, experimental methods); Structure of alloys (thermodynamics, various phases, phase diagrams); Thermal activated processes (diffusion, nucleation and growth).
