Aims, contents and method of the course

!! The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will start in October 2007, last chance to visit certain parts of the accelerator !!

Preliminary program:

" Start: Tuesday 21.11 (evening)
" Arrival in Geneva: Wednesday 22.11
" Thursday 23.11 visit of CERN
" Friday 24.11 visit of the exhibition "Mikrokosmos"; visit of the laboratory for quantum cryptography (Prof. Gisin, University of Geneva)
" Arrival in Vienna: Saturday 25.11 (morning)

Examination: written report
Registration: Room 51, 1. floor, Inst. f. Experimentalphysik; personal registration (secretariat: Fr. Fischer), as soon as possible (first two weeks of October).
Costs: about 250 Euro (train, hotel, bus at CERN, guided tour)
