Aims, contents and method of the course

The students obtain basic knowledge and skills in linear algebra.

Content: Elementary algebraic structures, geometry in the plane and in three-dimensional space, real and complex vector spaces, linear maps and matrices, quotient vector spaces, linear systems of equations, determinants, eigenvalues and normal forms, Euclidean and unitary vector spaces, dual spaces, tensor product.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written multiple-choice exam (no material permitted)
