Place, day and time of the lecture will be fixed during the preliminary meeting according to the needs of the students. The lecture will start April 8th 2013.

Aims, contents and method of the course

Basic principles of superconductivity including high-temperature conductivity, electrical properties, magn. properties of type I and II sc., London and BCS-theory, Josephson effects, technological aspects, type III sc.

Assessment and permitted materials

Oral examination, any time after agreement

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The lecture gives an introduction to the phenomenon of superconductivity for students of all levels and intends thereby to give a basis for more specialized lectures in this field.

Examination topics

The lecture will be held in the traditional way and references will be given for more informations.
