Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Basic conditions in computer aided learning environments (curriculum, general literacy, situation in the classroom); learning theoretical and media theoretical principles; didactical design of learning sequences and learning environments; choice and evaluation of electronic learning tools with respect to their didactical suitability for teaching; simulation vs. "hands on experiments"; analysis, conditioning and development of learning materials for medial environments; discussion of the efficiency of the chosen content and associated methods; skills and competencies; assessment; visit of a school class; tools supporting the generation of electronically based learning sequences (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Web Quests, JClic, Web2.0).

Assessment and permitted materials

Examination of the quality of generated learning materials, quality of the presentation, seminar paper.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The seminar deals with design, methods and organisation of computer aided learning. Its goal is to prepare future physics teachers to efficiently apply and use the potential of new media and e-learning in physics teaching.

Examination topics

Lectures, plenum discussions, learning with the PC, presentation and discussion of materials generated, team coaching, e-learning (web-site, learning platforms, Web2.0)
