Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course is an introduction to the theory of linear algebra.
The following topics are considered: set theory, logic, matrix and vector calculations, inverting matrices, solving linear systems of equations, determining determinants, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, linear optimization, inner products, projections, orthonormal bases.

Assessment and permitted materials

Oral exam at the end of the course + exercises during the course (continuous assessment).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The final grade is based on the performance in the oral exam (50%) and the result of the weekly exercises (50%).
