Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This seminar will train pre-service teachers in the use of digital media, including Interaktiv Bildschirm Experimente (IBEs), Physics Education Technology (PhET) simulations, and Geogebra.
Assessment and permitted materials
Students will be assessed based upon classroom participation, weekly homework assignments, facilitation of a digital-media-based lesson for their classmates (mock lesson) and, if possible, with school children, and reflections written on the teaching. In particular, several homework assignments will be dedicated to scaffolding students in creating their own digital media.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Students are expected to attend and participate actively in class, to complete homework assignments thoroughly and on time, and to be prepared when it is their turn to facilitate the mock lesson.
