Aims, contents and method of the course

Role of metals in nature, application of metal-based pharmaceutics, development of tumor-inhibiting metal complexes, stability of metal complexes in aqueous media, interaction of metal complexes with biologically relevant molecules, application of capillary electrophoresis (CE), HPLC, ESI-MS, NMR, X-ray, thermo gravimetry and other analytical methods in the field of bioinorganic chemistry.

The seminar will contribute to a deeper understanding for the central role of metals in vivo as well as diagnostics and therapeutics.
