Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Practical lab course comprising any topics of Chemical sensors, UV-Vis spectroscopy, FT-IR spectroscopy, spectroscopy of surfaces and boundaries, gas phase analysis, array measurements, Mass-sensitive and capacitive measurements. The lab course is held in the format of students joining a PhD or Master student of the group and working together with that person on their current research.
Assessment and permitted materials
Laboratory work, report, presentation in the group seminar.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Minimum requirement: Working safely in a research lab, systematic planning of experiments. Evaluation: experimental work (50%), quality of report (25%), final presentation of the work in the group seminar (25%).
Examination topics
Knowledge of modern techniques of measuring data acquisition especially in the field sensor science and modern apparative analysis depending on the concrete experiments carried out during the course. Experimental skills, protocol and presentation are the basis of grading.
