Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course provides practical exercises for solving physical-chemical problems in quantum mechanics, molecular spectroscopy, and statistical thermodynamics. The exercise supplements the lecture "Physical Chemistry II – Quantum Theory, Spectroscopy, and Statistical Thermodynamics" (course 270022) and should be attended alongside the lecture. The exercises serve to enhance the understanding of the theoretical foundations taught in the lecture.
A worksheet will be available for download on Moodle the week before the exercise. This worksheet should be completed by the exercise the following week. The students will present the exercises during the teaching event.

Assessment and permitted materials

Active participation in the course.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

For a positive assessment of "successful participation":
1. This course requires regular attendance of participants to discuss the exercise sheets. Therefore, attendance in at least 75% of the exercise units. Participation must be documented by signature.
2. Active participation in the discussion and problem-solving.
