Aims, contents and method of the course
Particularly industry is using membrane separation technologies as highly efficient cost and energy saving tools to separate mixtures of all classes of compounds. This includes ultrafiltration but also reversed osmosis. The fundamentals of these approaches and the diverse specifics will be discussed on the basis of representative examples

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Discussion of the theoretical background of membrane separation methodologies and techniques. Illustration of the techniques' potential via relevant examples.
