Aims, contents and method of the course

Guidance to calculative solution of chemical tasks. The selected topics are grouped into 5 units emphasizing typical problems of General Chemistry:
a) nomenclature and formulation of chemical equations
b) concentration and stoichiometry
c) solubility of salts and behavior of gases
d) redox reactions and complexes
e) acids and bases, pH-values
f) chemical equilibrium and aspects of qualitative analysis

Assessment and permitted materials

fristgerechte Abgabe der Übungsbeispiele, Tafelleistung, schriftliche Zwischen/Abschlusstests

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Mindestanforderungen:
Anwesenheitspflicht bei der Vorbesprechung, den Übungseinheiten und dem Abschlusstest. Zusätzlich eine positv absolvierte Tafelleistung in einer der vier Übungseinheiten.

Beurteilungsmaßstab:
Es können in Summe 120 Punkte für diese LV erreicht werden, aufgeteilt in
50 Punkte Übungsbeispiele
20 Punkte Zwischentests
50 Punkte Abschlusstest

Die Notenvergabe verläuft nach dem folgenden Schema:
0-60% Nicht Genügend
60,5-70% Genügend
70,5-80% Befriedigend
80,5-90% Gut
90,5-100% Sehr Gut

Examination topics

Die in den Theorie/Übungseinheiten behandelten Stoffgebiete mit Schwerpunkt auf das Lösen der entsprechenden Rechenaufgaben.
