Aims, contents and method of the course

It is a difficult task for every natural science teacher to teach scientific findings generally understandably on a technical appropiate level and to make it available for laymen at the same time.
Which competencies do the lecturers need, in order to be able to fullfill this responsible task?
We will discuss this question not only theoretically, but also practically in the classroom.
The project seminar will be held in cooperation with the Educational Competence Centre Chemistry (AECCC) together with one class of the Bundesrealgymnasium 18, Vienna and the work group of Prof. Dr. Doris Marko, Departement of Analytical and Food Chemistry .

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Expanding of natural science-didactical knowledge:
Project teaching, constructivist learning environment, nature of the natural science.

Examination topics

Active and responsible cooperation of the students in cooperation with pupils and academics.
Puplic presentation.
