Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Work in the practical course is carried out in the Lindner research group (see www.univie.ac.at/rg_lindner). Tools available for sample preparation, chromatographic separation, and detection will be introduced and applied in bioanalytical practice. Thereby the participants should get used to the main steps involved in method development and validation. Educational emphasis will be laid on the introduction and application of mass spectrometry based detection.

Assessment and permitted materials

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Getting practical knowledge in analytical method development and -validation as well as in the handling and processing of biological samples, Hands-on work with chromatographic and mass spectrometric systems

Examination topics

EVALUATION: short talk and discussion about practical work, work report.
