Die Vorlesung wird jeden Donnerstag, ab 08.10.2020 von 9:15-10 Uhr digital online über BBB in Moodle gehalten und auch aufgezeichnet. Die Aufzeichnungen sind via Moodle zugänglich.


Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture is held digitally online and also recorded. The recordings are accessible via Moodle.
Objective of the lecture: Structure and functionality of the most important mass spectrometer types, ionization techniques, types of fragmentation, areas of application in the bioanalytics of proteins and metabolites.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam
Due to the current corona situation, the exam takes place in writing, online in the Moodle.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Understanding of the physical principles as well as the analytical uses of modern mass spectrometry.

Examination topics

Ein umfassendes Verständnis für die theoretischen Grundlagen für den experimentellen Einsatz von Massenspektrometrie für die qualitative und quantitative Analyse von Biomolekülen, Schwerpunkte MS-Messmethoden, Gerätedesign, Ionisationsverfahren, Framentierungsmechanismen und Datenprozessierung.
Die Powerpoint-Folien werden auf Moodle zur Verfügung gestellt.
