Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Determination of constitution, configuration, and conformation of organic molecules. Application of modern software to interpret NMR spectra; interpretation of homo- and heteronuclear 2D-NMR-spectra (DQF-COSY, TOCSY, HMQC, HMBC, NOESY, etc.); use of selected 1D-NMR methods. After an introduction, students are supposed to make independent interpretations of selected examples which are discussed in the seminar.
Assessment and permitted materials
Schriftliche Prüfung. Termine werden im rahmen der Vorlesung abgesprochen.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Use of one and two dimensional NMR techniques for structure determination of organic molecules.
