Environment monitoring by sensors in liquid phase and in the atmosphere; detection of solved pollutants by optical, potentiometric and mass sensitive procedures; PAHs, heavy metal contamination and its consequences (the shock of Minamata) and speciation (mercury e.g.); microbial contamination; monitoring of greenhouse gases and pollutants (ozone); atrazine - screening methods and how to avoid systematic errors on identification; uncertainties with toxikological risk assessment; analytical chemistry and molecular epidemiology - polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons; problems with estrogens in environment; methods and intermediate balance of identifikation of compounds with endocrine activity; the issue of setting maximum limits and resulting demands on analytical chemistry - drinking water); analytical aspects of newly discussed environmental issues.
